All our rates are based on double occupancy and include cooked breakfast - using fresh local Hawkes Bay produce, we offer a choice of dishes: Cereal, Orange Juice, Freshly made Tea and Coffee, Toast, Fresh Fruit, Yoghurt, Hawkes Bay Jams and Honey.
In the event of having to change your booking please give us as much notice as possible so we can try and rebook you; unfortunately due to our small size we have to make a charge for any cancellations received with less than 48 hours notice.
We have a large sweeping drive way with plenty of free car parking

Past guest comments recommend a stay of at least two nights is required to allow time to get a taste of what Hawke’s Bay has to offer.

Havelock House is approximately 4.5 Hours drive from Wellington and 6 hours drive to Auckland and 2.5 hours from Taupo.
We can arrange pick up and drop off to the airport if needed. All tours for Wineries, Cape Kidnappers, Bookings for taxis can be arranged for you.
Places to visit in Hawkes Bay
- Havelock Village - just 4 kms away an easy drive, there is a wide range of Coffee shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, excellent clothes and speciality shops, Cinema and free car parking.
- Gannet Colony at Cape Kidnappers - Take a visit to the see the Gannets.
- The local Farmers Market - at Black Barn Winery or Hastings or stop at one of the many Farm shops selling locally grown produce.
- Hawkes Bay wine trail - either self drive or let us arrange for you to be picked up. For the more adventurous we can arrange cycle hire.
- Napier - is just a 20 minute drive away with it's fine Art Deco architecture. Walking tours daily.
Historic Gardens in Havelock North - include Keirunga Gardens, Duart House Gardens and the wonderful bush walks around Te Mata peak.
- There are also lots of "Foodie places" where you can see local produce being made such as: Te Mata cheese factory, Arataki Honey. See the Hawkes Bay food trail.
- Visit Waimarama and Ocean beaches with their fantastic white sandy beaches, great bathing (30 minutes drive).
- You can enjoy a wonderful walking track around the Endsleigh Loop - a 40 minute circular walk.
- Te Mata National park
Whatever your interests Diana and Jeff can help you get the most out of your stay. You don't have to do anything just relax and unwind - take a swim in our fantastic pool, have a game of tennis on our Astroturf tennis court or enjoy a glass of wine with us from one of the local wineries.
The entrance to Havelock House is on Endsleigh Road (off Middle Road) and is hard to miss - look out for the brick pillars with the two white eagles on top.
